Let’s start where we left off! We would like to continue the gastronomical tour we started in January moving on to our wine selection.

Focusing on our red wines, we are proud to be a real ambassador of Spanish land; we represent wineries from all over the Spanish territory. From North to South and from East to West we have wineries from Catalonia, Aragon, Navarra, La Rioja, Galicia, Castilla Leon,Castilla la Mancha and Andalusia.

Starting from almost the farthest east point of Spain, the region of Conca de Barberá in Catalonia we have selected the wines from Cara Nord. Cara Nord is a special winery making wines in the North Face of the Prades Mountains, thus giving their wines a vibe of healthy air, energy and positive feeling. Cara Nord creates sincere and bold wines with transparency, where everything is as it seems and is inspired by the respect for the mountains that surround them.

A bit more centered but still in the east side of the country, we find the region of Aragon, the worldwide origin of the garnacha grape. From the region of Aragon, we represent an iconic garnacha brand: Particular wines from Bodegas San Valero. Cherry red at sight and with concentrate powerful fruit aromas in nose. Their wines are known by their character and long aftertaste to satisfaction.

A bit more to the west, almost in the center of Spain, the region of Navarra is located. Navarra is known for its green landscapes and cool climate and for the running of the bulls in its capital, Pamplona, during the San Fermín festival that takes place every month of July. In a small town of Navarra is located the winery Castillo de Monjardin. The proximity and historic cultural links to France provide Castillo de Monjardin a winemaking tradition based on Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, distinct from the rest of Spain. Their wines are characterized by their singularly intense aroma, full flavor and firm structure.

Next in the road would be the most well-known Spanish region for red wine: can you guess which one is it? Of course, you got it! Rioja! From Rioja we represent two wineries: Roda Winery a reputed winery that has been in the market in China for many years and that is known among wine lovers. Our second winery is Ramirez de la Piscina, a small family owned business making delicious wines for 6 generations. From Ramirez de la Piscina, we carry the Young, the Crianza and the Reserva. From the Crianza wine, once Josh Raynolds said “Sweet and pliant in the mouth, displaying good clarity and lift to its smoke-accented dark fruit and spice cake flavors. This wine finishes with smooth tannins and very good spicy persistence.” A must try Rioja gem.

Then moving to north, we selected a small winery Adegas Galegas from Galicia, from which we carry a very special white wine from which you will hear next month and a young red wine called El Cayado. Adegas Galegas has been reputed for the quality of its wines, and for its admiration and respect for the Galician indigenous varieties and the winemaking tradition of the area.

Going down the road a little bit, we arrive to Castilla y Leon, from which we represent one of the most important wineries in the region Bodegas Yllera. From Bodegas Yllera we carry a wide range of red and white wines. Their wines have received several awards; in particular their wine Yllera Vendimia Seleccionada 24 months in barrel has received the Grand Gold Award in the Asia Wine Trophy 2021 edition and the Gold Award in Berlin Wine Trophy for the same year. Their wine Yllera 12 months, also received several awards such as Bronze Medal in the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2021 and the GoldBacchus at the Bacchus Wines International Contest for the edition of that same year.

A bit more south, we find Castilla La Mancha the land of Don Quijote and this is where Luna Lunera our tempranillo wine comes from. It is harvested in Dehesa de la Luna, a biosphere reserve which vineyards are surrounded by 3.000 hectares of untouched nature. The result, a wine for those who like mild, fresh and fruity flavors.

Heading totally south to Jerez we arrive to the area of Sherry wine and of course, that is what we bring from there! These excellent Sherry wines will transport you to the vibes of the south of Spain. A must try for a totally different feeling!
