We could say Cara Nord has two main characteristics: its terroir and the way they practice sustainable agriculture.
Cara Nord is young project founded in 2012 from the hand of three experienced people in wine and business. From experience they knew the potential of the grapes grown in the Prades Mountains when it came to making good wines: the excellence seen in the DO Priorat, the reliability of DO Montsant, the extraordinary results of the DO Costers del Segre and the cold and intense Conca de Barberà. Four Denominations of Origin located on a single mountain. By facing north, CARA NORD is exposed to extreme contrasts in temperature; the air is healthy, energizing and positive.
CARA NORD creates sincere and bold wines with transparency, where everything is as it seems and is inspired by the respect for the mountains that surround us. Mountains under difficult conditions, creating unusual wines which truly reflect this clean and unpolluted environment.
In CARA NORD, sustainable agriculture is practiced with constant attention to the agricultural ecosystem. Winemaking with minimal intervention prioritizes the conservation and biodiversity of the forests that surround the vines, enabling an integrated and sustainable organic approach.
